Langton Rise is situated off Langton Hill on the western outskirts of the attractive market town of Horncastle.

From its Roman origins, Horncastle developed into a thriving agricultural market town and today is world-famous for its large number of antique shops. The town centre itself offers an excellent range of eateries, supermarkets stores, health centres, takeaways, public houses, hotels, churches and a post office. Close by is Horncastle & District Tennis, Cricket and Rugby Club where various social and sporting activities can be enjoyed. The picturesque Horncastle 18 hole Golf course is a also a short drive away.

Horncastle offers an excellent selection of schooling, from Horncastle Primary School through to Banovallum School, Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School and Horncastle College, an adult education centre.  

The county town of Lincoln is some 30 kms to the west along the A158 where there is a wide range of high street and specialised shopping  and public services, Horncastle is also located within easy driving distance of the glorious sandy beaches of the east Lincolnshire coast and the Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The nearby A16 gives fast and easy access to the south whilst the A46 is some 30 kms to the west and offers a direct route to the A1(M). There is a mainline rail station in Lincoln.
